The Delaware Electric Cooperative will host its annual community fair and business meeting Aug. 15 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds, 18500 S. DuPont Highway.
The fair will begin at 3 p.m. in The Centre Ice Rink, followed by the business meeting at 7 in the Dover Building.
Members will enjoy a complimentary chicken dinner and an opportunity to meet with various organizations, as well as an update on the state of the cooperative from president and CEO Rob Book.
Another highlight will be the utility demonstration, where line crews showcase how they keep the lights on. These displays will be held at 4:30 and 5:30 outside the ice rink.
Live music will be provided by Junior Wilson and the Jones Boys, and members are encouraged to bring their families. There will also be a chance for attendees to win a $50 billing credit.
